Job summary

Constellium Van Buren is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate schedules and inventories across the plant, ensuring efficient operation of the assigned department. You will develop production schedules for manufacturing and assembly areas, monitor customer releases and forecasts, and collaborate with the Supplier Planner to secure materials while maintaining accurate ERP/MRP data.

The role requires a detail-oriented problem solver capable of supporting ISO 14001, 9001, 45001 and IATF 16949

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; GED/HS diploma with equivalent experience acceptable.
• Minimum 3 years of materials scheduling in a Tier 1 automotive facility.
• Experience with OEM releases and demand schedules.
• 1+ year supplier planner/ordering experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems; Plex experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedule for manufacturing and assembly areas.
• Attend the plant daily Flash Meeting and report customer and supplier concerns.
• Develop short and long-term production plans by updating Netting File daily/weekly.
• Monitor customer releases and forecasts to align with demand.
• Collaborate with Supplier Planner to ensure materials availability.
• Analyze capacity, labor, machine utilization and material constraints for plans.
• Adjust schedules in response to demand changes, downtime, or shortages.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data and track KPIs like on-time delivery and inventory.
