Job summary

Prince Industries is seeking a Production Planner / Buyer to coordinate manufacturing schedules, manage material requirements, and procure materials for on‑time delivery. The role connects Customer Service, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Shipping to optimize resource use and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in production planning or related roles, with ERP/MRP experience, especially Epicor. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, purchasing, materials management, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and supply chain fundamentals.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Epicor ERP strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute production schedules for all manufacturing departments.
• Analyze customer demand, capacity requirements, lead times, and material availability to establish realistic production priorities.
• Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to meet commitments.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and resource utilization.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to maintain on‑time delivery.
• Procure raw materials, components, and outside services to support production.
• Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate to expedite deliveries.
