Job summary

Magnum Venus Products, Inc. is seeking a Buyer/Planner to unify procurement and production scheduling across our ERP/MRP systems. This role collaborates with Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, and Operations to ensure timely material availability and feasible production plans that meet customer timelines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing procurement/planning, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Epicor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of procurement, production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Analytical mindset with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders with drawings and specs for suppliers and internal teams.
• Evaluate usage, lead times, and replenishment data to optimize procurement.
• Analyze pricing, specs, and delivery dates to select best suppliers.
• Communicate changes in cost or lead times to stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier on-time delivery performance and late PO dollars.
• Develop and maintain production scheduling plans based on capacity and demand.
• Create and adjust work orders for assembled, fabricated, and machined parts.
• Manage ERP/MRP inputs after BOMs are released to support ETO projects.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.
• Track production metrics like adherence to schedule and lead times.
• Maintain documentation and records for each job within ERP.
