Job summary

Engineered Materials Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Planner to optimize manufacturing schedules and resources, ensuring on-time delivery.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, and Engineering while gaining exposure to planning systems and Lean initiatives.

This role emphasizes continuous improvement of flow, inventory reduction, and accurate data in MRP/ERP.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of MRP/ERP, planning, and scheduling processes.
• Proficient with MS Office and data entry.
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• 5-10 years of manufacturing planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Monitor orders and communicate delays or shortages.
• Determine material requirements from schedules and demand.
• Coordinate material availability with Purchasing, Production, Customer Support, and Engineering.
• Maintain planning records and monitor inventory, usage, and replenishment.
• Assist with purchase requisitions and orders to support material needs.
• Monitor on-time delivery and production performance against goals.
• Identify shortages, excess, or bottlenecks and elevate concerns.
• Communicate planning requirements and schedule changes to Operations.
• Maintain data in the MRP/ERP system and improve planning processes.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce inventory and improve flow.
