Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand, capacity, and inventory goals. You will create releases to ensure timely material arrivals and support production throughput.

Key responsibilities include monitoring capacity, coordinating with vendors, maintaining ERP data, and expediting critical orders to achieve on-time delivery while supporting cost reduction and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in SCM/Purchasing/Business preferred.
• 1+ year of supply chain experience; more is a plus.
• Willing to attend SC continuous education seminars.
• Proficient with Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, contracts.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with vendors and internal staff.
• General knowledge of ERP systems.
• Previous Plex experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules.
• Review demand and capacity to create production plans.
• Monitor capacity constraints and bottlenecks.
• Maintain planning, inventory, and master data in ERP.
• Issue release orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate material deliveries and expediting shipments.
• Cross-train and support planning, scheduling, inventory management.
• Participate in yearly inventory planning and counts.
