Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Production Planner in Materials to create and maintain production schedules aligning customer demand with capacity and inventory goals. You will release orders in the ERP system and drive on-time delivery while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in a related field and 1–3+ years of supply chain experience, plus proficiency with ERP, Excel, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or Business.
• 1–3+ years of supply chain experience.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and contracts.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with vendors and internal staff.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Plex experience preferred.
• Willing to attend supply chain seminars or coursework as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules to support customer and operational requirements.
• Review demand, forecasts, and capacity to create effective production plans.
• Monitor system requirements to identify capacity constraints and improvements.
• Maintain and validate planning, inventory, and master data in the ERP system.
• Issue release orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate delivery of materials with vendors and expedite shipments as needed.
• Review inventories through cycle counts for accuracy and ERP reporting cross-checks.
• Collaborate with Production Operations to adjust schedules based on supply or labor availability.
• Participate in annual inventory planning and counts.
• Cross-train and support planning, scheduling, and inventory management activities.
• Communicate deliveries and supply issues to stakeholders.
