Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Production Planner in the Materials department to build and maintain production schedules that balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity and inventory goals. The role creates material releases for on-time production and manages replenishment to support operations.

The ideal candidate has experience with Plex and ERP systems, plus strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills. A Bachelor degree in a related field and prior supply chain experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Excel/Power Point/Word.
• Good presentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with vendors and internal staff.
• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management / Purchasing / Business preferred.
• Minimum of one but prefer more than three years of Supply Chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules to support customer and operational requirements.
• Review demand, forecasts, and production capacity to create effective production plans.
• Monitor system requirements to identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and validate planning, inventory, and master data within the ERP system.
• Issue release orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate delivery of materials with vendors and expedite shipments.
• Review inventories through cycle counts for accuracy.
• Work with Production Operations to adjust schedules based on supply or labor.
• Participate in yearly inventory planning and counts.
• Crosstrain and provide support for planning, scheduling, and inventory management activities.
