Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive in Mount Sterling, Kentucky is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to assist the Plant Manager in achieving business objectives through strategic materials operations. You will lead inventory management, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer delivery requirements.

The role requires 6–8 years in materials management, a bachelor’s degree, strong leadership and communication skills, and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of materials management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Proven leadership and managerial skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Technical knowledge in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong organization skill.
• Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and health of all functional Team Members.
• Ensure cycle counts are performed as required.
• Manage all inventory levels consistent with World Class Manufacturing.
• Develop policy and procedure for plant operations related to materials management and quality systems.
• Ensure policies and procedures reflect customer delivery requirements and information transfer.
• Update policies reflecting shipping/receiving, scheduling, vendor releasing and MRP buying.
• Support teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Support and adhere to TS 16949 and ISO 14001.
