Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive is seeking a materials leader to support the Operations Manager in achieving manufacturing and materials goals. You will help with budget planning, forecasting, and adherence to materials policies, ensuring alignment with quality systems and customer delivery expectations.

The role emphasizes safety, inventory reduction, and continuous improvement across production planning and materials management, with travel as needed and a focus on World Class Manufacturing

Qualifications

• Six+ years of materials management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal and personal development skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Technical knowledge in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and health of all functional Team Members.
• Manage all inventory levels consistent with World Class Manufacturing requirements.
• Develop continuous improvement initiatives to reduce inventory, WIP, raw materials, and finished goods without affecting delivery.
• Develop and implement a tactical material flow planning process for production planning departments; drive WIP reduction.
• Develops policy and procedure for plant operations aligned with materials management and quality systems.
• Ensure policies reflect customer delivery requirements and information transfer to customers.
• Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and customers.
• Support and adhere to quality standards including IATF and ISO 14001.
