Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive in Mount Sterling, KY, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations and ensure safety, quality and productivity align with the manufacturing plan. Qualifications

• Four year degree or two year degree with supervisory experience.
• Ability to identify and resolve day to day technical and operational problems.
• Analytical skills to gather and interpret production information.
• Computer competency: spreadsheets, charting, word processing.
• Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for parts built to the manufacturing plan and customer specs.
• Ensure employees and team leaders are trained and empowered to perform.
• Communicate work rules and required standards of conduct.
• Assess employee performance and initiate coaching or discipline as needed.
• Identify, control and communicate risk in operations.
• Ensure training to safely perform jobs.
• Act as role model for safe behaviors.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production reports.
• Organize and schedule work, breaks, overtime and vacations to meet production needs.
• Ensure conformance to quality procedures and process controls.
• Encourage improvement ideas and assist with implementation.
• Collaborate with CI teams to identify solutions and support implementation.
• Ensure communication between shifts and conduct team meetings.
• Participate in meetings to evaluate performance results and actions.
• Attend critical parts meetings and daily walkabouts.
• May perform other duties as needed.
• Participate in safety processes such as hazard assessments and safety walks.
