Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a Buyer in Warren, MA to support a manufacturing transformation by clearing a backlog of purchasing and production. You will handle hands-on purchasing, quotes, and supplier relations in a fast-paced environment using ERP and Excel to ensure timely delivery of materials.

The role is a contract with potential for permanent conversion for strong performers and involves collaboration with operations and supply chain to maintain material flow and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement, or related role.
• Solid understanding of the full purchasing lifecycle and PO process.
• Experience communicating with vendors and managing quotes.
• Experience with an ERP system and Excel for purchasing data.
• Strong organization and attention to detail in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities for materials and components.
• Process purchase orders accurately and keep ERP data current.
• Request, obtain, and manage supplier quotes for timely decisions.
• Communicate pricing, lead times, and order status with vendors.
• Build strong supplier relationships to support operations.
• Monitor open orders and address delays or discrepancies.
• Data entry and documentation with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure material availability.
• Prioritize urgent material needs as production changes.
• Utilize Excel to track and analyze purchasing information.
