Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer Planner in York, PA to manage material requirements and purchasing for production. The role involves coordinating with Materials, Production Control, and suppliers to ensure availability, pricing, and timely delivery.

It is a contract-to-hire position based in York, with a standard weekday schedule and ESOP participation. Responsibilities include stocking strategies, order processing, supplier negotiations, and data-driven inventory oversight.

• Verifying manufacturing requirements and creating stocking strategies.
• Liaison between Materials & Production regarding materials and processes.
• Collaborating with Production Control to pre-empt shortages and adjust planning.

Responsabilités

• Verify requirements and create stocking strategies for inputs.
• Serve as liaison between Materials & Production regarding materials and processes.
• Work with Production Control to identify deficiencies and amend planning before production.
• Provide purchasing planning and inventory data by analyzing trends.
• Support Materials team initiatives as defined by plant manager.
• Negotiate pricing for locally sourced items.
• Prepare and forward purchase orders, monitor and expedite orders.
• Verify receipt of items and resolve supplier discrepancies; forward docs for payment.
• Coordinate with engineers, drafters and suppliers as needed.
• Use Quality Control systems to report NCRs and conduct root cause analysis.
