DHL Supply Chain in the United States seeks a senior strategist to lead business strategy, industry research, and new service development. You will align solutions with business goals, partner with solution development and IT, and drive market-driven offerings across multiple sectors.

The role emphasizes go-to-market planning, cost modeling, sales enablement, and pro-active pursuit of optimized, innovative logistics solutions that improve customer outcomes. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in logistics, operations management, or industrial engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in supply chain and specified industry (per sector assignment).
• Sales enablement: designing, creating, and implementing sales material.
• Preparing business plans, supply chain systems designs, costing models, and presentation materials.
• Understanding of the industry appropriate to the assigned sector, information technology offerings, and partner channels.
• Innovative problem-solver who can quickly understand business challenges and provide integrated solutions.
• Familiarity with supply chain tools and supporting capabilities.
• Self-starter who can multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Team player with ability to work on cross-functional teams.
• Detail oriented for planning and coordinating.
• Comfortable with challenging the status quo and thinking outside the box.
• Ability to work away from home for periods.
• Good customer service and relationship management.
• Broad understanding of Supply Chain concepts.

Responsabilités

• Leads sector/business unit planning with annual strategy refreshes and multi-year re-plans.
• Collaborates with marketing for industry research, branding, and thought leadership.
• Researches market demands and develops new service offerings and go-to-market plans.
• Develops and maintains the solution set capabilities, including tools, cost models, and value propositions.
• Collects lessons learned and productivity metrics to evolve service offerings with industry standards.
• Creates business plans for new services and develops sales plans with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluates new tools and technologies to improve sector capabilities and supports portfolio publishing.
