Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Pasadena, TX to support the company’s purchasing activities for materials, equipment, tools, services, and other goods to back field operations and corporate needs.

You will collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Accounting, Warehouse, Fleet, and other teams to identify requirements, source suppliers, and fulfill purchase orders efficiently while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience required.
• Experience in industrial services, oil & gas, construction, energy, manufacturing, or similar environment strongly preferred.
• Experience purchasing industrial materials, equipment, tools, rentals, MRO supplies, or services preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including quotes, supplier evaluation, PO issuance, and order status monitoring.
• Source materials, equipment, tools, rental items, services, and other products per company policies.
• Review requisitions for completeness, accuracy, approvals, and compliance with procedures.
• Obtain competitive pricing, negotiate pricing, payment terms, freight, lead times, and other terms.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate purchases and reduce costs.
• Maintain purchasing records and vendor information in the ERP system.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and onboard new vendors.
