Job summary

The Florida Panthers Hockey Club is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to source, evaluate, and procure goods and services to support day-to-day operations across multiple facilities in Broward County, FL. You will manage vendor relationships, track POs, and ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in purchasing or supply chain, with strong negotiation and ERP software experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience or relevant certifications
• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency with purchasing/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines
• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders (POs) through fulfillment
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors within assigned category
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock
• Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, delivery, quality, or invoicing
• Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor documentation
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Operations, department heads) to forecast needs and align purchasing with budget
• Research market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
• Assist with vendor onboarding and accounts payable process
