Job summary

Mesa Power Solutions is seeking a Buyer II to manage procurement activities for natural-gas engine and generator production and service with greater autonomy. You will negotiate supplier terms, proactively reduce cost and lead-time risks, and resolve issues to support operational efficiency.

The role balances tactical execution with analytical decision-making, partnering with Planning, Operations, and Engineering. A 4-year degree and 5 years of procurement experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing suppliers and purchase orders independently.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems in lean environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing for assigned commodities or suppliers.
• Analyze MRP signals and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms within defined limits.
• Mitigate supply risks and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with Planning, Operations, and Engineering on part changes and cost impacts.
