Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage purchasing for complex components and liaise with multiple suppliers.

You will work cross-functionally on issues such as material requirements, ECOs, costing, and invoicing, while driving on-time delivery and supplier performance. Ideal candidates will have a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing, and strong negotiation and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in the supply chain function.
• 3+ years of purchasing or planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• ERP/MRP knowledge; SAP or Oracle experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, project management and analytical skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard purchasing processes and optimize procure-to-pay activities.
• Manage supplier on-time delivery (OTD) performance and data integrity.
• Coordinate with Corporate Strategic Sourcing to select key suppliers.
• Recommend cost-saving proposals including make-versus-buy and volume discounts.
• Coordinate ECO activities with suppliers and internal teams.
