Job summary

DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations in Pineville, LA seeks a Buyer to manage purchasing for projects and operations. You will execute purchase orders, monitor status, and coordinate with Project Management, Warehouse Operations, and the Proposal team to keep procurement on track.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in purchasing, experience with ERP (Epicor preferred), strong organization, and Excel skills. A Bachelor’s in Supply Chain or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage purchase orders for projects and operations
• Monitor order status, expedite deliveries, and follow up with suppliers
• Resolve shortages, overages, and discrepancies with internal teams and suppliers
• Maintain procurement records in Epicor, using Buyer’s Workbench
• Collaborate with Project Management to align purchasing with schedules
• Support Warehouse Operations by ensuring accurate deliveries
• Provide pricing, lead times, and sourcing support during bid development
• Build supplier relationships to support quality, cost, and delivery goals
• Manage supplier blanket orders and contracts, including pricing and renewals
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing discrepancies
