Job summary

Western Farmers Electric Cooperative in Moore, OK seeks a Purchasing Agent to procure materials, equipment, and services for WFEC projects and operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Business-related discipline and 3+ years of professional purchasing experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably PeopleSoft procurement module.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations (RUS, FEMA) is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requester needs and develop category management strategies to optimize inventory and costs.
• Prepare RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and contract packages with clear terms and conditions.
• Review requisitions, consolidate requirements, and determine lowest evaluated bids.
• Lead bid events, coordinate Pre-Bid/Pre-Construction meetings, and document outcomes.
• Negotiate contracts, delivery dates, pricing, and terms with vendors.
• Monitor schedules, expediting orders when necessary, and maintain contract docs in PeopleSoft.
• Maintain vendor relations, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with WFEC policies.
