Job summary

VSE Aviation, Inc. is seeking an experienced procurement professional in Miramar, FL to handle end-to-end purchasing for aviation components and related services. The role focuses on obtaining the best cost and lead times while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include planning purchases, evaluating supplier proposals, and ensuring timely orders and closures. A background in aviation procurement, plus strong negotiation and MS Office skills, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; 3+ years relevant/technical work experience or 2 additional years in lieu.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with planning systems and Min/Max requirement generation.
• Ability to negotiate price, quality, and delivery to maximize cost savings.
• Understanding of purchasing law and contract management.
• Excellent multitasking, organization, and prioritization.
• Lean knowledge and supply chain optimization principles.

Responsibilities

• Procure assigned goods and services to support the business.
• Prepare RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for goods and services under supervision.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and update ERP with pricing and lead times.
• Place and expedite purchase orders; resolve PO issues.
• Maintain extensive supplier communications.
• Interface with team members at multiple levels.
• Receive repair orders to facility and create work orders for production.
