Job summary

JMD Technologies Inc. in Clayton, NC is seeking an experienced Procurement & Sourcing Specialist on a 1-year contract to support purchasing, material planning, inventory management, and strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment.

This role collaborates with production and supply chain teams to ensure timely material availability, manage purchase orders in SAP, and drive cost, quality, and operational efficiency across MRO and consumables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning, inventory, or production control.
• Experience with SAP, particularly MM, PP, and/or FI/CO.
• Strong procurement and sourcing experience.
• Experience with MRP/inventory systems and supplier management.
• Pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing of MRO, inventory materials, hardware, and consumables.
• Create and manage purchase orders using SAP/MRP systems and support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities.
• Plan, schedule, track, and expedite materials based on production requirements.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Support inventory planning, minimum stock levels, BOMs, and production schedules.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives focused on cost, quality, and operational efficiency.
