Job summary

MJC INC seeks a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Engineering to align procurement with growth goals. This role focuses on cost reduction, supplier performance, and policy deployment within a manufacturing setting.

You will negotiate contracts, drive supplier development, and leverage analytics and ERP systems to optimize procurement and logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement Management in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in sourcing and vendor management.
• Forward-thinking with analytics/technology integration in operations.
• Strong buying, negotiation and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead strategic sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Develop suppliers and contracts for critical long lead materials.
• Improve stability, predictability, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
• Lead negotiations for strategic sourcing agreements and contracts.
• Formulate procedures for materials procurement, planning and supplier development.
• Institute policies for collecting and reporting key metrics to reduce costs.
• Monitor local and global spending and supplier performance.
• Manage all aspects of the supply chain and address supply concerns promptly.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase profitability.
• Ensure supplier compliance with specs and optimal terms.
• Collaborate with IT to automate procurement processes.
• Manage inbound project materials and delivery deadlines.
