JMD Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Buyer / Procurement Specialist to optimize purchasing, materials planning, inventory control and supplier sourcing in a manufacturing setting.

You will partner with supply chain and production teams to ensure material availability and support production schedules. Key responsibilities include managing MRO purchasing, creating and tracking POs in SAP/MRP systems, expediting material flows, evaluating suppliers, and driving cost savings through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, and material planning experience.
• Hands-on SAP experience, preferably MM/PP/FI/CO.
• Experience with MRP/inventory systems and supplier management.
• Pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• APICS or purchasing certification is a plus.

We are looking for an experienced Buyer / Procurement Specialist to support purchasing, materials planning, inventory control, and supplier sourcing activities within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with supply chain and production teams to maintain material availability and support operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for MRO items, materials, hardware, and consumables.
• Create, monitor, and maintain purchase orders using SAP/MRP systems and support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Plan, schedule, expedite, and track materials based on production requirements.
• Identify and source suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Support inventory planning, BOM management, minimum stock levels, and production schedules.
• Assist with strategic sourcing initiatives focused on cost savings, quality, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, material planning, inventory management, or production control.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, preferably MM, PP, and/or FI/CO.
• Strong procurement, purchasing, and supplier sourcing experience.
• Experience working with MRP/inventory systems and supplier management.
• Pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• APICS or purchasing/procurement certification is a plus.
