Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, develop and manage Requests for Proposals, and drive cost-competitive supplier negotiations. You will collaborate with Legal and business stakeholders to secure best value while ensuring compliance and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience (Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Agent, Buyer).
• Experience drafting and managing RFPs and supplier evaluations.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong pricing/financial analysis and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities: RFP, RFQ, RFIs with hard deadlines.
• Analyze supplier pricing, total cost of ownership, and cost structures.
• Support or lead contract negotiations with Legal and stakeholders.
• Evaluate proposals and draft award recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements and sourcing strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations.
