Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vendor Relations & Bid Manager to lead a team responsible for supplier recruitment, negotiations, and pricing governance. You’ll own the bid calendar, develop the team, and drive margin-focused negotiations across haulers, processors, and recyclers.

The role involves building cost models, managing cost intelligence, and ensuring compliance with vendor documentation. Candidates need a strong background in procurement, pricing, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Excel modeling skills to build cost models line by line.
• Proven negotiation results with ability to price profitably.
• Working familiarity with commercial contracts and vendor compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Vendor Relations & Bid team; hire, coach, set scoreboards and authority.
• Recruit and vet haulers, MRFs, processors, and recyclers; maintain qualified providers per service line.
• Negotiate master rate agreements; run annual re-bids on top cost lines; ensure compliance files.
