Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, draft RFPs, analyze total cost of ownership, and support contract negotiations with Legal and business stakeholders. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in business finance or equivalent, plus 3+ years of procurement experience and ERP/SAP exposure.

You will collaborate across functions to define requirements, manage supplier relationships, and ensure policy compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in business finance or the equivalent of 4-5 years of Business Finance or Materials Management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Agent, Buyer, or equivalent.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems (SAP Preferred).
• Experience drafting and managing RFPs for a large variety of products/services and supplier evaluations.
• Experience supporting or leading contract negotiations.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers
• Draft agreements based on the Request for Proposal Requirements and Vendor’s Proposal
• Assist with onboarding new vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading competitive sourcing initiatives, drafting and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing supplier pricing and cost structures, and supporting contract negotiations to ensure best value and while maintaining quality, compliance and strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities of Position:

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:

• Continuously sitting

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

• Ability to travel between offices, as required
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
• Must be able to read and speak the English language
