Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Associate Procurement Program Manager to lead multiple procurement projects and partner with Product Growth Teams to drive productivity and cost improvements. You will align commodity strategies with business needs, manage supplier relationships, and forecast procurement metrics across the Supply Unit.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement-related functions, strong communication and negotiation skills, and international sourcing experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, engineering, project management, quality, finance, and/or operations; or a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of the procurement processes at an operational and leadership level.
• Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and multi-tasking. Proactive planning and problem resolution with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
• Experience in International sourcing; supplier development, materials management or supplier quality a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering, and Materials Teams to develop and implement strategies in support of both Product Growth Teams and the Supply Business Unit.
• Project manager for multiple procurement projects, working with cross-functional teams and applying standard work to execute implementation plans for productivity, continuous improvement, new product launches, risk management, and source change programs.
• Ensure alignment of commodity strategies with Product Growth Team requirements. Responsible for sharing Trane Supply strategies with commodity teams.
• Evaluate Trane technologies business needs against supplier capabilities; select preferred suppliers who meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements; manage supplier relationships and contracts.
• Responsible for accurate forecasting and reporting of procurement financial metrics including productivity and inflation. Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan for productivity projects.
• Active participant in productivity gate reviews ensuring cross-functional resources are allocated to execute projects.
