Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a procurement specialist to develop and maintain production schedules, coordinate shipments with 3rd party re-packers, and manage purchasing and inventory control systems. The role requires coordinating material procurement, audits, and contract/quality assurance activities while ensuring data integrity and safety of products.

You will support production and processing with procurement services, analyze data, and back up teammates as needed, while maintaining raw material

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Advanced computer knowledge (word processing, spreadsheets).
• Ability to work well with people and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product production schedule.
• Coordinate shipments of product to and from 3rd party re-packer.
• Coordinate the procurement of support material.
• Responsible for maintaining purchasing and inventory control systems.
• Manage cycle counting program – including explanation of variances.
• Assist in periodic and scheduled audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data.
• Manage contracts and quality assurance issues.
• Provide procurement services for Production and Processing.
• Analyze, correct, and enter daily data collection systems as needed for department.
• Maintain accurate files.
• Backup team members as needed.
• Set up and maintain all raw material deliveries (schedules).
• Maintain minimum stock dollars.
• Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.
