Job summary

BECU is seeking a Manager, Procurement Operations to establish and lead a centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing. You will design standardized processes, guide spend activities, and strengthen governance across the organization.

You will manage a team, drive transformation, and partner with Finance, Legal, and Risk to deliver efficient, compliant procurement with measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum four years in procurement, purchasing operations, strategic sourcing, procure-to-pay, or vendor management, including at least one year of people leadership.
• Experience interpreting vendor agreements and translating requirements into operational transactions and controls.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing.
• Develop standardized procurement processes including requisitions, PO management, guided buying, vendor governance, and approvals.
• Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations ensuring alignment with vendor agreements and pricing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve purchasing challenges and strengthen governance.
• Lead procurement transformation and change management initiatives, including process design and training.
• Develop metrics, analytics, and reporting to improve visibility, compliance, and efficiency.
• Serve as trusted advisor for procurement operations and enterprise controls.
