Job summary

Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) is seeking a Manager of Procurement Operations to establish and lead a centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing. The role focuses on creating a scalable procurement operating model, strengthening governance, and delivering value across the organization.

You will lead procurement transformation, guide buying practices, and collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Technology to optimize processes and enable strategic sourcing across BECU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of progressive procurement experience with purchasing operations and governance.
• At least one year of people leadership experience.
• Experience interpreting vendor agreements and translating requirements into operational transactions.

Responsibilities

• Establish, launch, and lead a centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing.
• Lead a team responsible for procurement operations and set clear performance standards.
• Design and implement standardized procurement processes including requisition intake and PO management.
• Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations ensuring alignment with vendor agreements and pricing.
• Develop guided buying practices directing activity toward preferred vendors and contracts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and improve procurement processes.
• Lead procurement transformation initiatives including change management and training.
• Develop procurement performance metrics and analytics to drive improvements.
• Serve as trusted advisor for procurement operations and drive enterprise controls.
