Job summary

BECU is seeking a Manager, Procurement Operations to establish and lead our centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing. This role will shape how purchasing works across the organization, delivering a streamlined experience while strengthening governance and financial controls.

You will build and mentor a procurement team, design standardized processes, and partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, Technology, and business leaders to drive enterprise-wide transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related discipline.
• Minimum four years of progressive procurement experience including people leadership.
• Experience interpreting vendor agreements and translating requirements into operational transactions.
• Experience analyzing procurement data with strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing.
• Coach and develop a procurement operations team with clear priorities.
• Design standardized procurement processes and governance.
• Oversee day-to-day purchasing aligned with vendor agreements and pricing.
• Develop guided buying to align with preferred vendors and contracts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve purchasing challenges.
• Lead procurement transformation, change management, and training.
• Develop procurement metrics and analytics for visibility and compliance.
• Serve as trusted advisor for procurement operations.
