Job summary

HTI – Human Technologies, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Procurement/Materials Manager to lead purchasing, supplier performance, material planning, inventory control, and production readiness in a complex manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes proactive leadership, risk anticipation, and strong collaboration with operations, engineering, and quality to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field; MBA preferred.
• ERP/MRP experience including POs, supplier data, lead times, reorder points, inventory controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement and materials strategies aligned with production requirements.
• Plan material requirements against work orders, BOMs, and production schedules.
• Maintain safety stock, reorder points, and purchasing parameters.
• Monitor open POs and resolve shortages, late deliveries, and long-lead items.
• Lead supplier negotiations and performance reviews; manage contingencies.
• Establish cycle-count and physical inventory programs.
• Provide visibility into material constraints and recovery plans to operations leadership.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on changes and qualifications.
• Develop reports/dashboards and train team on procurement processes.
