Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations at the Blythewood headquarters. The role involves directing daily procurement duties, contract management, and project procurement oversight under the Procurement Officer’s guidance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with procurement experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and experience in procurement and contracts.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.
• Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment.
• Ability to exercise judgement and discretion.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Advanced communication skills in both oral and written form.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the completion of all daily Procurement duties as directed by the Procurement Officer.
• Manage Procurement functions of projects/procurements and contracts, including reporting and creation of Scopes of Work and related documents.
• Supervise Procurement Department staff as directed by the Procurement Officer.
• Act as Agency P-Card Administrator as directed by Procurement Officer.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Procurement Officer.
