Job summary

Envision, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing for raw materials and services.

You will supervise the Purchasing Department, oversee pricing, inventory management, negotiations, and contract administration, while applying analytical methods to optimize procurement and sales. The role requires strong Excel and data analysis skills, plus experience in government contracting and supplier performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing and/or government sales with emphasis on government contracting preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Data analysis experience required.
• Advanced Excel and database experience required.
• Cost accounting/EDI experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment of strategic collaboration with suppliers.
• Implement MRP tools and reporting structure.
• Ensure supplier risk is proactively understood through evaluation and reporting to vendors.
• Guide team to analyze efficient ordering, vendor performance and pricing for best-in-class procurement.
• Evaluate and supervise direct reports, with coaching and training on objectives.
• Translate product and business requirements into specifications for manufacturing operations.
• Develop RFP processes for new opportunities and suppliers.
• Supervise direct reports in contract terms, data analysis, price negotiations, and RFQs.
• Develop and improve purchasing procedures and policies; communicate with departments, vendors, and staff.
• Maintain professionalism and ethical behavior in interactions with internal and external customers.
• Assist Accounting with invoice discrepancies and collections.
• Perform procurement support with diverse activities and innovative techniques.
• Use data to identify cost savings and improve margins while remaining competitive.
