Job summary

Sappi North America is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials across mill operations. You will drive cost savings, manage supplier performance, and partner with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and leading the on-site procurement team while ensuring ISO compliance and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 8–10 years of procurement or relevant business experience.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities to support mill operations, ensuring efficiency and results.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned commodity categories.
• Analyze spend, drive cost reductions, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and supplier terms.
• Provide leadership and direction to the on-site procurement team.
• Manage supplier performance, relationships, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Partner with stakeholders to support sourcing plans, RFIs/RFPs, and business cases.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, sustainability initiatives, and company policies.
