Job summary

Sappi North America’s Somerset Mill is seeking an Operations Maintenance Coordinator to lead safety, reliability, and performance across the paper mill. You will align Operations, Maintenance and Reliability to keep equipment running, downtime low, and production goals met with visible leadership.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance work, budgeting, cost improvements, and ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance with CMMS support and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• 8+ years of operations or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on understanding of equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
• Experience leading or coordinating maintenance teams, trades, or planners.
• Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance work management processes.
• Strong safety leadership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and external vendors.
• Coordinate and prioritize daily and weekly maintenance work.
• Lead planning and execution of maintenance and outages (Outage Captain).
• Manage maintenance budgets, forecasting, and cost improvements.
• Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance activities are executed.
• Lead Natural Work Teams and reinforce work management practices.
• Partner with Reliability Engineering to resolve complex equipment issues.
• Participate in periodic weekend maintenance duty coverage.
