Job summary

BW Papersystems, part of the Barry-Wehmiller Group, seeks a Procurement Leader to drive sourcing, supplier performance, and inventory strategies to sustain manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.

The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on participation in purchasing, supplier management, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, planning, and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of procurement, purchasing, materials management, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain teams.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing and engineered-to-order manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers while actively engaged in procurement and supplier management.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor market conditions and manage supplier risks to minimize disruptions.
• Lead Lean initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
