Job summary

BW Papersystems, part of the Barry-Wehmiller Group, seeks a Director of Quality to lead the Quality Improvement Strategy and establish a management system improving efficiency, quality, and profitability in operations. You will guide cross-functional teams and drive cost reduction in a safe, compliant environment.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in quality leadership within capital equipment manufacturing, with lean and operational excellence experience and strong stakeholder influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, quality, continuous improvement, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience leading a Quality Organization in capital equipment manufacturing environment.
• Experience with the execution of continuous improvement methodology such as Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Strategy Deployment, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop the overall Quality Improvement Strategy and lead cross-functional adoption.
• Develop and maintain a business/quality management system to improve efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Continuously assess the Quality Management System and determine priorities for improvement.
• Establish key improvement priorities and develop a cross-functional action plan to drive improvements.
• Identify leading sources of customer dissatisfaction and address root causes.
