Job summary

Collier County seeks a procurement professional to oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, from requests through contract administration. You will develop specifications, issue solicitations, evaluate bids, and award contracts while ensuring compliance with County policies and state laws.

The role involves reviewing requisitions, managing vendor relationships, and monitoring contractor performance to maximize value for the County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two (2) years of related experience; four (4) additional years if no degree.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Procures goods and services for the County in conformance with policies and state procurement laws.
• Prepares and administers contracts; develops technical specifications and scopes for RFPs/ITBs.
• Reviews purchase requisitions and ensures accuracy and proper approvals; analyzes data for best value.
• Manages bid openings, evaluations, and award documents; negotiates contract terms.
• Monitors contractor performance and resolves disputes; liaises with County Attorney as needed.
• Provides training on procurement processes to County staff and vendors.
