Job summary

The City of Coconut Creek is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead the Procurement Division, develop policies, and ensure compliance with state and federal procurement laws. You will supervise staff, guide departments on contracting methods, and advance best practices in purchasing.

The role requires strategic oversight of procurement operations, vendor education, and continuous process improvements to maximize value and transparency for City programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related discipline, supplemented by four+ years of procurement or related field.
• Must possess or obtain CPPB certification or equivalent procurement certification within two years of employment.
• Knowledge of Florida public procurement laws and practices is a plus.
• Experience with automated procurement systems and various software programs is a plus.
• One year of supervisory, lead, or senior capacity required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, manages, and oversees the operations of the Procurement Division.
• Supervises assigned personnel, including hiring, coaching, and evaluating performance.
• Develops procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accountability.
• Oversees procurement activities, contract administration, and competitive solicitations to ensure best value.
• Provides training to staff and vendors on procurement policies and legal requirements.
• Represents the City at professional organizations and remains current on procurement trends.
