Job summary

B-Stock is seeking its first dedicated procurement hire to own how we buy across the company, from renewals to new tool requests. You will lead end-to-end negotiations, develop playbooks, and implement business-case frameworks that enable fast, policy-compliant buying.

You will work on-site three days a week in San Francisco, with remote options on Monday and Friday, and partner with Finance, Legal, and Engineering to build an automated, data-driven procurement function using AI tools as it

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or a finance/operations role where you personally negotiated software and services contracts.
• Track record of measurable savings from renewals you negotiated down and how you did it.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills: model total cost of ownership, read usage data, compare pricing structures, build a business case in a spreadsheet.
• Experience building processes from scratch: intake, approval workflows, playbooks, and templates that teams adopt.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools within analytical or operating workflows to build automations or multi-step processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the renewal calendar for all SaaS and indirect vendors, starting every material renewal 90+ days out with a usage review and negotiation plan.
• Lead commercial negotiations: price, seat & tier sizing, multi-year terms, price caps, payment terms, auto-renewal rights.
• Build and roll out a procurement playbook with intake, approval matrix, signing authority, and redline fallbacks.
• Develop business-case templates (cost, usage, ROI, tool overlap) and ensure approved cases are implemented and measured.
• Maintain a single source of truth for vendor spend, contracts, owners, and renewal dates; report savings to leadership.
