Job summary

Sesco Cement is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the development and growth of its procurement function in support of capital projects, facility expansions, operations, maintenance, and supply chain needs. The role requires strategic, technically oriented leadership bridging engineering, operations, finance, and supplier relationships to deliver cost-effective sourcing.

Initially partnering with Finance, the manager will strengthen governance, cash flow visibility, and SAP-driven processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience including capital projects and construction procurement.
• Experience sourcing complex technical/industrial services and project-based contracts.
• Proven success negotiating commercial agreements and achieving cost savings.
• Strong understanding of procurement controls, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and project management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, procurement, and contract management activities supporting capital projects, operations, maintenance, materials, equipment, and construction services.
• Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies to improve cost, supplier performance, and supply security.
• Partner with engineering, operations, finance, logistics, and project teams to align sourcing with technical and business requirements.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and supplier partnerships to maximize value and improve cash flow.
• Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities through spend analysis and market intelligence.
• Establish and enhance procurement policies, controls, workflows, and SAP governance processes.
• Develop procurement budgets, forecasts, and purchasing plans to improve financial predictability.
• Assess supplier markets, risks, and trends to support sourcing decisions and continuity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members toward a scalable organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to make procurement proactive, data-driven, and strategically managed.
