Job summary

Versant Power is seeking a senior procurement leader to oversee the organization’s procurement, policy administration, contract management, and insurance oversight. This role partners with operational teams to drive risk management, cost savings, and supplier performance improvements across northern and eastern Maine.

The candidate will mentor buyers, align policies with best practices, and lead strategic sourcing initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Oversee and mentor procurement staff and ensure best practices.
• Develop and align policies with industry benchmarks to achieve cost savings.
• Provide strategic analysis using internal/external data to secure continuity of supply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor a team of buyers and procurement personnel.
• Align strategies, policies, and practices with ENMAX Corporation to ensure efficiency and economical pricing.
• Provide strategic market analysis to meet cost reduction requirements and continuity of supply.
• Lead large sourcing initiatives and manage supplier performance issues against contracts.
• Coordinate with Audit, Legal, Finance, Compliance and other stakeholders to improve procurement processes.
• Manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and maintain relationships with vendors.
