Job summary

Renew Cannabis Co. is seeking a Buyer to manage planning, purchasing, and procurement to support inventory levels in our Chicago-area facility.

You will handle sourcing, forecasting, vendor relationships, and PO processing for packaging materials, parts, and supplies across production lines. The role requires strong negotiation skills, data-driven decision making, and the ability to collaborate with Finance and Operations to hit stock targets and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, buying, merchandising, or supply chain management
• Experience owning product categories, vendor relationships, and purchasing decisions
• Experience in retail, CPG, or cannabis industry preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); ERP systems experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand to drive purchasing decisions

Responsibilities

• Generate POs and build/maintain strong relationships with third party vendors
• Negotiate pricing and terms of business inputs and cash terms
• Plan, forecast, and purchase to manage inventory levels and service levels
• Coordinate inbound excipients and components for production across product lines
• Track and trace freight and inbound deliveries
