Job summary

Warps is seeking a Production Planner to join their materials and purchasing team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will ensure timely management of raw materials and scheduling to meet production targets.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a High School Diploma, and experience in buying or scheduling for manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.

This position offers office hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

Job description

We are currently searching for someone to join our materials and purchasing team as a Production Planner.

This position will work within a team and must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment. It will be based in our Chicago, IL office and require office hours Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Raw Material Management: Ensure timely creation of purchase orders, resolve inventory discrepancies, and maintain raw material availability.
• Scheduling & Forecasting: Maintain weekly production schedules and adjust quantities based on forecasts and inventory targets.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials; perform cycle counts weekly and spot counts as needed.
• Communication: Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as production supervisors, plant managers, sales team members, and supplier customer service representatives.
• Initiatives: Provide support for cost‑out projects and review internally for optimization opportunities.
