Job summary

Green Thumb Industries is seeking a Regional Procurement Buyer to manage purchasing across cannabis production facilities, focusing on indirect materials, grow supplies, and MRO. The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize inventory and reduce total cost of ownership.

Based in Massachusetts with monthly site visits to Holyoke/Clinton and occasional Chicago-based office presence; responsible for ensuring timely, compliant procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; CSCP/CPSM certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of procurement experience in agriculture, cannabis, CPG, or manufacturing, with indirect spend focus.
• Familiarity with cannabis cultivation, MRO sourcing, and regulatory compliance valued.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders in ERP systems; monitor shipments, coordinate deliveries, and confirm payments; engage vendors for pricing, lead times, and onboarding new suppliers.
• Forecast supply needs with cultivation and facilities teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Ensure purchases meet quality standards and cannabis regulations; partner with Compliance and QA to provide documentation.
• Develop indirect procurement strategies and drive process improvements for efficiency; serve as SME for assigned categories; support ERP/MRP configuration, training, and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with Grow Ops, Facilities, Finance, and Compliance to align procurement with budgets and regulations; educate stakeholders on workflows.
