Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks Associate Director, Procurement Finance FP&A to lead FP&A for Procurement, deliver LBEs and LRPs, and provide strategic finance partnership. You will shape transformation priorities, manage monthly results and ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements, while coaching a high-performing team and driving process improvements, including AI use cases.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 7–10 years of finance experience, CPA or MBA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7–10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience; direct FP&A experience highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with ownership and ability to direct teams and deliver results.
• Demonstrated experience with GAAP and financial policy compliance.
• Hands-on expertise with SAP, BPC, and Excel; Power BI/Power Query is a plus.
• CPA, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives and plans to achieve financial goals.
• Lead end-to-end financial planning & analysis for Procurement costs in annual Plans, LRPs, and monthly LBEs.
• Oversee all financial aspects of capital investments and integration activities.
• Serve as a strategic finance partner to Procurement leadership with financial insight and recommendations.
• Lead and govern enterprise Weighted Average Payment Term (WAPT) annual Plan and monthly reporting.
• Provide financial leadership on Procurement transformation programs by building business cases and ROI analyses.
• Challenge assumptions and influence decision-making with fact-based recommendations on investments.
• Prioritize and manage ad hoc requests.
• Manage and develop a team of direct reports, fostering staff growth.
• Drive continuous process efficiency improvements, including AI use cases.
