Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is required.
• 5+ years of procurement and supply chain management experience including R&D, manufacturing, procurement and supplier interfacing.
• 3+ years in a Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic component manufacturing business.
• Willingness to travel ~20% and eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Engage in preliminary development and drive cost-reduction measures to achieve target material costs.
• Involve suppliers in cost-benefit analyses, innovation workshops and concept competitions.
• Provide market information and analyses on international tech and price trends to source new suppliers and technologies.
• Align technology roadmaps with cross-functional procurement strategies and market trends.
• Drive sourcing decisions with stakeholders to combine know-how with security and value.
• Support business lines with quotes, workshops, BoM scope, and savings realization.
• Assess and develop suppliers from a technical standpoint to focus on the best suppliers.
• Participate in workgroups to stay informed and influence early-stage decisions.
• Apply preventive risk mitigation methods to ensure robust specifications and concepts.
• Coordinate product/service qualifications and approvals based on requirements (Ready to Order).
