Job summary

Indeed.com seeks a senior in-house counsel to act as a strategic legal partner to Category Managers and Specialists. You will draft, review, and negotiate procurement and vendor agreements across the full lifecycle, advising on risks and commercial terms, and resolving escalations with autonomy.

You will also support Marketing and IT agreements as needed, develop standardized templates and guidance, and mentor junior lawyers to streamline contract management workflows.

Qualifications

• J.D. or international law degree; active bar admission or equivalent; minimum 5 years of related legal experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating procurement and vendor agreements.
• Knowledge of corporate law and commercial contracting methods; data protection familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate procurement and vendor agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on contract terms, risks, and business implications.
• Manage escalations and resolve complex contractual issues autonomously.
• Develop and improve contract templates, policies, and processes.
• Support cross-functional initiatives related to procurement and legal operations.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on contract matters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of legal and procurement workflows.
