Clune Construction Company, a leading employee‑owned contractor, is seeking a senior legal professional to draft and negotiate procurement and commercial contracts, review claims, and guide project teams on risk mitigation. You will collaborate with in-house counsel regionally and support outside counsel with budgets and material information.

The role requires a JD, 2–10 years of relevant experience, and licensure eligibility.

Formación

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required.
• Work Experience 2-10 years of relevant work experience required.
• Licenses and Certifications Licensed to practice in or willing to be licensed to practice in applicable jurisdiction(s) required.

Responsabilidades

• Draft and revise procurement and commercial contracts to support timely project and business transactions.
• Document recurring contract and dispute issues to support improvements to legal resources and templates.
• Support procurement and commercial contract negotiations by identifying nonstandard terms and escalating legal risk for review.
• Provide supervised legal advice on procurement and commercial contract matters to mitigate risk and support compliance.
• Review potential claims and disputes with vendors and suppliers to identify issues early and support risk mitigation.
• Draft standard dispute correspondence and settlement agreements with vendors and suppliers under supervision to support matter resolution.
• Support outside counsel engagement by organizing matter information, budgets, and strategy materials.
• Advise procurement and project teams on notices, agreements, and other actions that reduce legal and contractual risk.
• Support dispute management by drafting correspondence, analyzing issues, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Take ownership of assigned legal matters and proactively identify issues requiring action or escalation.
• Communicate legal issues clearly in writing and verbally to support timely decisions and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with regional in-house counsel in negotiating procurement and commercial contracts taking into consideration terms in the relevant project owner agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
